I have been making unusual cakes for many many many years. Coming from a german heritage, baking copious amounts of sweets is simply in my blood. I had my own food catering business
seven years ago in Mount Perry, where I catered for Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christenings and the general public - I simply love cooking, although baking is my absolute favorite. Wedding, Engagement, Birthdays, Novelty , 3D cakes, Cupcakes
Gum paste flowers and sprays, Cake toppers and so much more.
Single, tiered, royal icing, Fondant Icing , Buttercreams, filled or unfilled. Mud cake, Fruitcake or Vanilla cakes and Cupcakes... Black Forrest Tortes and Gateaux.

Now the nitty gritties... fine print
I am a qualified Food safety Supervisor and all my work is carried out in a safe and pet free environment that meets with Food Safety Standards.
I only use quality ingredients and will cater for diabetics and Gluten intolerant customers. All flowers are made by Unusual and amazing cakes and are made with edible Sugarpaste and food safe non toxic food colours and glitters. Some larger flowers eg Magnolia may contain wire to provide additional hold.
Because my cakes are completely custom - made and priced individually, I do not have a standard price list
However, the base price of each cake begins with the serving size.
Cakes in my classic collection eg wedding start at $4 a serve. Any custom cake outside that range starts at $4.50 per service and 3D, scultural cakes as per quote depending on details requested.
This base price does not include labor costs. I find that most customers choose designs that require additional labor and material costs. The final price varies from customer-to-customer depending on the complexity of the design.
I am happy to work within an event budget.

Keep in mind that varieties and flavours of fillings and icings will alter and enhance the flavours and textures of cakes chosen.

Fruit Cake - notice prefered - cake needs maturing for full flavour.

Sugar free Red Velvet cake and Diabetic friendly icings
Think of these small cakes as small samples of your wedding cake, the equivilant of 4 servings. Wedding cakes and their cost is calculated per serve, so one sample cake has the minimum value of $16.00. However, for tastings, the first three cakes are free of charge. For each additional variety, the charge will be $10 to cover the cost of ingredients .
Please note, should you decide to engage Unusual and Amazing Cakes as your cake decorator you will be automatically qualify for a full rebate of the amount paid for additional cake tastings, on your final cake order payment.
Bookings
Your order is not considered a booking until a 50% non-refundable deposit is rceived to reserve your date;

Payment Plans
I have a payment plan available for budget conscious couples for fortnightly or weekly payments payble only by cash to ensure receipts are issued and the balance is adjusted correctly.
Cancellations
In the event a cancellation takes place , unless there are extreme and extenuating circumstances involved is not refundable.Dates and details of your cake order may be changed to avoid loss of refund providing it is no later than 14 day prior delivery date. Changes to orders after that time will incur an additional charge.
Late Orders
Cake orders placed with less than 2 weeks notice require full and immediate payment.
Delivery
Delivery to local Hervey Bay area is included in the pricing. Other deliveries are calculated by km s traveled. I do not ship my cakes.
Photos
Photos are taken of all my cakes at time of final assembly and I reserve full rights to utilise those for advertising or promotions at my discretion.
Copies are available free of charge at request only to all customers and send via email.
